More revelations on reality dating shows are arising as The Bachelor himself, Brad Womack, has been caught up in some small controversy. The 34-year-old entrepreneur from Austin Texas, was chosen to be this season's Bachelor on the reality dating series' eleventh run, and most men would do almost anything to be in his shoes and date 25 gorgeous women all at once, and eventually chose one to spend the rest of his life with.
Brad Womack is currently down to six women, and he says that he has indeed found his soulmate among them. However, a recent rumor spread all over the Internet, indicating that Womack was still caught up in post-break up stress when he entered season 11 of The Bachelor.
Now what is this break up all about? Laurel Kargay is Brad's former girlfriend of three years. She works at Peach Body Boutique in Texas and has said to have mothered a child with Womack, who does not have custody over the child.
"Brad would never let the child be exploited and the bachelorettes know about this information," a source from RealityTVSpoiler said. Apparently, any woman who was not comfortable with Brad having a child was asked to sign a confidentiality agreement and was dismissed from the show. However, Rob Balon, the man responsible for the rumor mill over the Internet, denied the statements about Womack having a child with Kargay.
Austin food critic Rob Balon had removed the story three days after posting it. Today, he had a word with BuddyTV to clarify some things.
First of all, Balon admitted that he wrote the story for fun after the premiere episode aired.
"I told [Laurel Kargay] everything I was going to write," he confirmed. Apparently, Balon and Kargay know each other, as she is close friends with his daughter, whose wedding she attended last year. In addition, Balon confirmed that Kargay and Womack broke up a year prior to Womack joining The Bachelor.
When Balon's daughter heard about Womack's statements saying that he has found his soul mate, she said to her father, "That's funny, he's been texting Laurel!"
Out of respect for Laurel Kargay and at her request, the story was removed from his site, as she never intended to be put on the spot with her ex-boyfriend-turned-reality star. Kargay has also not been returning BuddyTV calls and has not made any public statements about her relationship with Brad.
